The first SLP event of the Summer of Sustainability series took place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 and was a great success -- with over a dozen adults and 2 children participating.  Janet Lomastro of Potsdam, long-time doyenne of decomposition, gave a Workshop on Home Food-Waste Composting.  A compost pile was built from scratch by attendees and various options discussed.  Janet also discussed her terraced riverside gardens' transition from pure ‘permaculture’ principles to a version of the natural gardening practice fitting with her space and place.
This Workshop will be repeated this Summer so reserve your spot -- only 10 spots will be available!
