Many of you may not be aware but Birdsfoot Farm experienced a fire on March 2.
The "Pink House" caught fire and burned to the ground. No one was inside, but 2 people who had invested time and money into renovations not only lost the roof over their heads but ALL of their personal belongings.
As part of an effort to help rebuild housing and replace personal goods, there will be a benefit concert held on
Thursday March 21st at 6:30 pm in
Eben Holden at St Lawrence University
It is a night of JAZZ and STORY TELLING: memories of the "Pink House" and those who built it, lived in it, and its part in the history of Birdsfoot.
The concert and fellowship are Free.
All are Welcome
Donations, of course, are welcome at the concert, but can also be mailed directly to
Birdsfoot Farm, 1263 CR 25, Canton, NY 13617
Housing and belongings are just things, as my Mother says, but Birdsfoot Farm and what they represent in, and bring to the community, is irreplacable. So for anyone who knows anyone there, or has eaten great vegetables, shared a meal, lived there, worked there, cleaned garlic, and been supported by great friends,
COME SHARE, COME SUPPORT, COME BE A
PART OF WHAT THE NORTH COUNTRY IS
At times like this, the love and support of our community can make all the difference. For anyone needing directions, reply to this email or call Ann Bennett at (315) 344-0443
